L’introduction de ce numéro spécial vise à proposer une analyse des plusieurs études de cas liées à des questions de sécurité internationale en s’appuyant sur la notion de politisation. Partant d’une brève revue de littérature sur l’utilisation de cette notion par les spécialistes de relations internationales ces deux dernières décennies, cette contribution pose ensuite les limites identifiées dans cet état de l’art. Notre contribution présente ainsi les apports des études de cas proposées dans ce numéro spécial et propose de considérer la politisation des questions de sécurité non pas tant comme un processus mécanique, mais plutôt comme un ensemble de pratiques produites par des acteurs politiques ou sociaux, à l’échelle nationale et/ou internationale. Dans cette perspective, cette introduction s’inscrit dans le prolongement des travaux de sociologie politique ou de sociologie politique de l’action publique, et vise ainsi à faire dialoguer les études de sécurité avec cette littérature.
