Abstract
The provincial government in Ontario, Canada, introduced the Better Schools and Student Outcomes Act in 2023 to improve educational outcomes through enhancing the equity and inclusion in education system and greater parental engagement. This chapter reviews the goal and objectives of the new education policy and introduces critical leadership theory a framework for achieving the desired outcomes. The chapter then discusses leadership strategies and actions for improving the quality, equity, and inclusion of an educational system, including creating equitable change, adopting equitable knowledge frameworks, educating for global citizenship, and empowering stakeholders.
