Abstract
Le concept d’effervescence se montre pertinent pour comprendre un aspect déterminant, quoique souvent négligé, du faire société. Si la société se produit et se reproduit au moyen de rapports sociaux qui la structurent et l’organisent, elle le fait également à travers des moments d’effervescence qui, bien qu’éphémères, renouvellent le sentiment d’appartenance et les liens de solidarité de ses membres. Nous avons appliqué ce concept d’effervescence à des données issues de deux terrains d’étude : l’Acadie et l’Ontario français. Alors que ces données avaient été recueillies par deux équipes différentes et dans le cadre de recherches autres, il est apparu pertinent de les regarder sous l’angle du concept d’effervescence afin de saisir la manière dont elles rendent compte de la production et de la reproduction symbolique de ces deux communautés.
