Abstract
Cet article reprend le contenu d’une communication lors de la journée d’étude « Crise écologique et critique de la société », tenue au Campus de la transition de l’île Sainte-Hélène le 9 juin 2023. Il vise à cerner, sommairement, les paramètres d’une question, à savoir la nécessité de la révolution des médiations politico-institutionnelles dans le cadre de la crise et de la transition écologique. Il ne s’agit donc pas de prétendre régler définitivement la question, mais d’amorcer la réflexion, en nous concentrant sur une tension centrale entre partisans d’une nouvelle reconnaissance ou réactivation de la souveraineté étatique (position « étatiste » ou républicaine) et défenseurs de diverses formes de localisme démocratique (défense « antiétatique » ou « communaliste » de principes d’autogouvernement).
