Abstract
Loin de donner une vue globale de la pensée de Michel Freitag (1935-2009), nous souhaiterions dans cet article nous pencher sur les fondements philosophiques grecs de sa pensée. Nous soutiendrons cette thèse en trois temps : nous établirons tout d’abord que l’anthropologie freitagienne fait très largement écho à celle des philosophes grecs ; nous soulignerons ensuite les traits proprement platoniciens de la sociologie dialectique ; nous montrerons enfin que la pensée de Freitag est structurée, en dernier ressort, selon une métaphysique scalaire provenant d’un profond enracinement du logos dans le cosmos .
