L’école congolaise comme moteur de paix? Une analyse des attitudes des enseignants du secondaire dans l’est de la République démocratique du Congo

Abstract
Marquée par des décennies de conflits, la situation sécuritaire en République Démocratique du Congo reste précaire, particulièrement au Kivu. Comme l’école apparaît comme un levier clé pour transformer la culture de la violence, cet article examine les attitudes de 1 642 enseignants du secondaire à Goma et à Bukavu envers l’éducation à la paix. Concernant l’éducation civique et morale (éducation à la paix indirecte), les enseignants sont optimistes, même si le curriculum aborde la paix de manière abstraite. L’acceptation des punitions corporelles reste préoccupante. L’éducation à la paix directe, portant sur les conflits récents, divise: une majorité y est favorable, mais des réticences persistent, particulièrement à Goma. La temporalité pour introduire cette approche demeure une question centrale.
