Abstract
Este artículo analiza los escritos sobre historia de la República romana de Lily Ross Taylor (1886- 1969), catedrática en Bryn Mawr College y una de las grandes historiadoras de su época, que desarrolló importantes análisis sobre la política tardorrepublicana en las décadas de 1940-1950. La obra de Taylor no se puede separar de sus vivencias en la Italia fascista y el ascenso del régimen nazi, lo que proporcionó un punto de anclaje y de comparación relevante para su investigación y la convirtió en un punto de referencia de la historiografía de la segunda mitad del siglo XX.
