Abstract
본 연구는 포스트모더니즘 교육철학을 분석틀로 하여 한국과 캐나다의 평생교육 치유프로그램을 비교·분석하고, 평생교육의 새로운 발전 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구방법으로는 문헌연 구와 비교사례연구를 활용하였으며, 한국에서는 예술치유와 숲치 유 중심의 프로그램을, 캐나다에서는 다문화주의와 공동체 기반 학습 프로그램을 분석 대상으로 삼았다. 분석 결과, 두 나라의 프로그램 모두 학습자의 정서적 안정과 성장을 촉진하는 공통점 을 지녔으나, 한국은 개인적 치유 중심, 캐나다는 공동체적 치유 와 사회적 통합 중심이라는 차이를 나타냈다. 이러한 결과는 한 국의 평생교육이 앞으로 치유적 기능을 강화하고 공동체적 포용 성을 확대하는 방향으로 발전해야 함을 보여주며, 포스트모더니 즘 교육철학이 실제 현장에 반영될 수 있는 실천적 가능성을 확 인하는 데 학문적 의의를 가진다. 다만 본 연구는 문헌 및 사례 분석에 국한되어 실증자료를 포함하지 못한 한계가 있으며, 향후 연구에서는 다양한 국가를 대상으로 양적·질적 연구를 병행하여 평생교육의 치유적 효과를 구체적으로 검증할 필요가 있다.
