Социално-сексуалното обучение на ученици и младежи с множество увреждания е тема, която предизвиква много дискусии както сред професионалната общност, така и сред обществото като цяло. Като общество продължаваме да не се чувстваме комфортно по отношение на сексуалността и уврежданията. Затова и не е необичайно недоразуменията и объркванията в социално-сексуалното развитие и възпитание да произтичат от тези различни представи, които хората имат за сексуалността. Всичко това налага да се обогати педагогическия опит в тази област и да се предложат съвременни образователни програми по социално-сексуално обучение за ученици и младежи с множество увреждания. Ясните правила, конкретните указания за обучение и въздействие, както и подходящо практическо обучение за училищния персонал и семейството са много важни за предоставяне на подходящо социално-сексуално обучение на дете с множество увреждания. Добрите политики и указания пък намаляват риска от истинска злоупотреба или съмнения за такава. Цялостният подход към социално-сексуалното обучение може да отнеме повече време, но осигурява успех при предоставянето на сексуалното обучение на тази група ученици и младежи.
