Abstract
Si le défi de verbaliser son trauma est présent, le texte dans le roman graphique joue un rôle essentiel en suggérant, parfois de manière fragmentée ou elliptique, ce que les images amplifient par des techniques artistiques visant à susciter une résonance émotionnelle chez le lecteur. Cet article explore la représentation du trauma territorial en se penchant sur le roman graphique Les Esclaves oubliés de Tromelin de Sylvain Savoia, qui met en lumière le destin tragique des esclaves malgaches abandonnés à leur sort sur une île réputée dangereuse. Les théories d’écocritique postcoloniale et de « traumascapes » serviront d’outils pour analyser la persistance et la manifestation des impacts du colonialisme sur l’écosystème, tout en explorant comment le trauma des esclaves peut également contribuer à la « traumatopie ».
