Inês de Castro (1944Castro ( -1945) ) Alicia Miguélez IEM, NOVA FCSH IntroduccIón La historia de amor, muerte y venganza de la noble medieval Inés de Castro (1320/25-1355) y del infante -y más tarde rey-de Portugal, Pedro I (r.1357-1367), fue narrada por el cronista castellano Pedro de Ayala en las últimas décadas del siglo xiv y ampliada, a lo largo de las décadas siguientes, por cronistas portugueses como Fernão Lopes, Luís de Pina, Christovão Rodrigues Acenheiro y el autor de la llamada Crónica Manizola.Desde la cronística lusa, la narrativa dio el salto, inicialmente, al imaginario poético y, a lo largo de los siglos posteriores, migró hacia el teatro y las artes visuales.Creció exponencialmente
