Les directions d’établissement scolaire (DÉS) favorisent la réussite éducative des élèves en collaborant avec les membres du personnel enseignant. Une recherche qualitative, utilisant le modèle de leadership pédagogique (instructional leadership) d’Hallinger (Hallinger et Wang, 2015) comme cadre de référence, a été menée pour identifier et décrire les pratiques mises en œuvre par ces directions. Les propos recueillis auprès de 18 DÉS du primaire, toutes issues d’un même centre de services scolaire, ont permis d’enrichir ce modèle de leadership. Ces témoignages ont également conduit à revoir ce modèle en mettant en lumière les domaines de responsabilité de la direction du primaire dans un contexte québécois, selon une logique d’action intégrée.
