Eskişehir’in Tarihi Madeni: Lületaşı Tipi Sepiyolit

Abstract
İnsanoğlu madenlerin keşfedilmesi ile birlikte madenleri incelemiş ve yararlanmayı deneyerek değişik aletler yapmıştır. Tarihin geçmiş dönemlerinde özellikle yerleşik düzene geçen insanın yararlandığı madenlerden biri de lületaşı tipi sepiyolit kısaca lületaşı olmuştur. Lületaşı tipi sepiyolit, arkeolojiye konu olmuş ve arkeolojik kazılarda da tespit edilmiş olan Türkiye’nin tarihi madenlerinin başında gelmektedir. Türkiye’de, lületaşı tipi sepiyolitin ekonomik olarak işletilebildiği oluşumlarının/rezervlerinin tamamı Eskişehir ili sınırları içinde bulunmaktadır. Eskişehir dışında az sayıda bölgede rastlanılan oluşumları ise henüz ekonomik olarak işletilememektedir. Lületaşı tipi sepiyolitin, maden ocağından üretildiği şekliyle ham olarak ihracatının 1972 yılında yasaklanması, Eskişehir’de bu madene yönelik önemli bir iş kolu ve sanat dalı oluşmasını sağlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, Eskişehir ili açısından önemli ve tarihi bir maden olan lületaşı tipi sepiyolitin genel bir değerlendirmesinin yapılması amaçlanmıştır.
