Abstract
BOD (Biochemical Oxygen Demand) adalah jumlah oksigen yang dibutuhkan oleh mikroorganisme untuk menguraikan bahan organik dalam air limbah. COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) adalah jumlah oksigen yang dibutuhkan untuk menguraikan bahan organik dan anorganik dalam air limbah menggunakan reaksi kimia. Pengukuran kadar BOD dan COD limbah cair domestik di Akademi Militer Magelang sangat penting untuk menentukan kualitas air limbah. dari air limbah domestik Akademi Militer pada sampel A1, A2 dan A3 diketahui kadar COD rata-rata 45,10 mg/liter dan BOD rata – rata 17,23 mg/liter pada sampel , maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada 3 sampel yang diteliti tidak ditemukan kadar yang berlebihan dan melewati Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Nomor P.68/Menlhk/Setjen/Kum.1/8/2016 Tahun 2016 tentang Baku Mutu Air Limbah Domestik.
