Abstract
Le texte explore la pluralité du concept de « Nord », souvent perçu dans l’imaginaire occidental comme un espace glacé, vide et inhospitalier. Or, le Nord est habité depuis des millénaires par des peuples autochtones aux cultures riches et adaptées. Sa définition varie selon les contextes géographiques, politiques et culturels. Le concept de nordicité, développé par Hamelin, intègre des critères humains et sociaux. Le Nord reste cependant largement vu comme un réservoir de ressources pour le Sud, notamment dans le cadre de l’extraction de ses ressources. Face à cette vision extractiviste, les peuples autochtones revendiquent une autonomie et une reconnaissance accrue, marquée notamment par la réappropriation des territoires à travers leur dénomination en langues autochtones.
