Konut ve çevresinden memnuniyet, insanların yaşadıkları çevreye verdikleri yanıtlarını yansıtmaktadır. Bu çalışmada konut çevresi ve konut seçiminde, kullanıcıların tercihinde etkili olan değişkenlerin bireylerin davranışlarına ne ölçüde yansıdığı konu edinilmiştir. örneklem alanı olarak Amasya kenti seçilmiş ve analiz çalışmaları beş farklı konut alanında 9 konut sitesinde anket çalışması ve alanda yapılan gözlemler ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizleri sonucunda kullanıcıların sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel değişmelerine bağlı tepki olarak kabul edilebilecek memnuniyet duygusunda anlamlanan kavramsal bir model oluşturulmuştur. Anket verileri SPSS 20.0 (Statistical Package for Social Sciences) ile elde edilen ampirik bulgular, kentsel mekandaki hane halkının, sosyo-ekonomik ve demografik göstergelerine göre konut yer seçiminde, tercihinin de değiştiğini ortaya koymuştur. Araştırmada oluşturulan kavramsal modelin gelecekte konut ve çevresel kalite memnuniyeti konusunda çalışma yapacak diğer araştırmacılara ışık tutacağı düşünülmektedir.
