Extension de l’aire de répartition connue du campagnol-lemming boréal : mention la plus méridionale du Québec

Abstract
Le campagnol-lemming boréal, Mictomys ( Synaptomys ) borealis , a une large répartition en Amérique du Nord, dont au Canada, mais en faible abondance. Il a été répertorié en Gaspésie, sur la Basse-Côte-Nord et sur tout le territoire nordique québécois à partir du lac Saint-Jean. L’espèce n’a pas de statut de protection au Québec ni au Canada, mais c’est une espèce considérée comme rare. En septembre 2021, un spécimen a été capturé dans un peuplement de résineux du parc national de la Jacques-Cartier, au nord de la ville de Québec. Il s’agit de la mention la plus au sud à ce jour, soit à environ 100 km de sa répartition connue. Cette note scientifique décrit le spécimen et l’habitat où il a été capturé, et présente une mise à jour de la répartition de ce campagnol au Québec.
