Abstract
The Global Classroom represents an advanced pedagogical model designed to internationalize undergraduate education by integrating cross-cultural partnerships and technology. This study critically examines the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Global Classroom, connecting students from the University of Toronto, Scarborough, and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Utilizing a project-based learning model, students were organized into blended teams to collaboratively address specific nutritional challenges in middle schools. Six key findings emerged: the complexities introduced by time zone and academic calendar misalignment, technological disparities affecting equitable participation, enhanced communication competencies through collaborative engagement, heightened cultural awareness fostered by cross-national team dynamics, the critical role of communication in conflict resolution, and the pedagogical value of project-based learning for experiential education. These findings offer significant implications for educators, policymakers, and curriculum designers seeking to globalize undergraduate education, promote cultural competence, and provide students with meaningful, context-driven learning experiences.
