Abstract
Abstract The China Fusion Engineering Demo Reactor (CFEDR) is the next-generation superconducting device in China’s roadmap for fusion energy, which is envisioned to provide 1.5–3 GW fusion power. To ensure that the plasma control system can meet the operational requirements of the device and clarify the goals of further engineering design, a preliminary plasma operation control scheme has been provided in this work. The preliminary operation control design phase includes plasma initiation, ramp-up to flattop scenario design and simulation, and basic plasma control including vertical instability control and kinetic control. The METIS code simulates the discharge to meet the CFEDR conventional H mode target scenario with electron cyclotron and ion cyclotron auxiliary power. Vertical instability control evaluation and design provide references for internal coils and component design. Kinetic profile control design proposes requirements for related diagnostics and auxiliary heating and fueling systems. This work establishes the preliminary reference for CFEDR’s further physics and engineering design.

Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from it
