Abstract
Julio Prieto Martínez propone que El sí de las niñas no rompe con el poder, sino que opera dentro de sus márgenes. El presente artículo toma como punto de partida la afirmación de Prieto Martínez para explorar la cuestión del poder en El sí de las niñas, de Leandro Fernández de Moratín, y El trovador, de Antonio García Gutiérrez. A través de un análisis del concepto del poder, examinaré cómo el estudio de dicho concepto arroja luz no sólo sobre asuntos que afectan a la institucionalización del orden social y político, sino a la definición misma del amor como emoción y su vinculación con los mecanismos de poder en los siglos XVIII al XIX.
