O presente artigo aborda os impactos de uma sociedade neoliberal sobre o contexto escolar relacionado às infâncias e as vivências desse grupo no que tange a educação. Para isso, estabeleceu-se como objetivo geral da pesquisa compreender como o contexto escolar neoliberalizado tem impactado nas vivências das infâncias na contemporaneidade. Visando atender este objetivo, foram elencados dois objetivos específicos: i. Discutir os conceitos de infâncias e neoliberalismo e ii. refletir sobre as consequências da racionalidade neoliberal na formação das infâncias contemporâneas e nos contextos escolares de educação para a infância. Diante disto, buscou-se inicialmente discutir os conceitos de infâncias a partir de autores como Aries (1981), Benjamin (1995, 2002) e neoliberalismo, com autores como Dardot e Laval (2016) e Veiga-Neto (2013) além de outros pesquisadores que também deram subsídio para estabelecer a pesquisa. A seguir, a partir dessas duas discussões foi possível traçar impactos que a racionalidade neoliberal vem estabelecendo sobre as infâncias. Com foco no contexto escolar, os impactos elencados foram: Investimento em capital humano, Educacionalização do social e encharcamento escolar, lógica de competição, consumismo e desconfiguração de direitos.
