Abstract
Este artículo estudia la representación literaria del cuerpo negro en el contexto del multiculturalismo tomando como ejemplo la novela El fin del Océano Pacífico (2020) del colombiano Tomás González. Allí se propone examinar las formas en que el estatuto de lo humano en la diáspora africana adquiere un carácter ambiguo según se observa bajo el lente de la plasticidad (Zakiyyah Iman Jackson). De esta forma, el artículo sostiene que la racialización corrobora un procedimiento que hace legible a personajes negros según comulguen o no con una función social usualmente atrapada en el servilismo.
