Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Monte Carlo simulations are a valuable tool to determine activated areas in nuclear power plants. This paper describes the simulation of an neutron irradiation stand containing 8 (α,n) sources and polyethylene shielding. The source spectrum of beryllium (α,n) sources is calculated using conservation of energy and momentum as well as the relevant cross-sections. Monte Carlo simulations are performed using a variety of codes with and without thermal scattering data. Simulation and experimental results are within the expected range. The thermal neutron fluence is about 2.2 x 10 5 cm −2 s −1 . The results provide a reliable basis to simulate the activation of nuclear power plant material samples.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
