Abstract
This panel symposium examines how integrating lived experiences and personal narratives into research can advance health equity and workforce well-being in the post-COVID era. The discussion explores three key themes: the transformation of labor markets through remote work and its impact on health equity, the methodological significance of autoethnography and storytelling in organizational research, and the role of reflexivity in maintaining research rigor when incorporating personal experiences. Drawing on recent literature and empirical evidence, the panel highlights how narrative approaches can bridge the gap between academic inquiry and practical policy implementation, particularly in addressing systemic health disparities and workplace inequities. The symposium emphasizes the crucial role of advocacy in research. It demonstrates how personal narratives can contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through more inclusive and equitable policies.
