У статті досліджується феномен буттєвого досвіду як підґрунтя античних філософських традицій і ключового джерела формування класичних уявлень про Буття. Автор стверджує, що занепад архаїчних общинних світоглядів у стародавніх суспільствах призвів до появи індивідуальних шукачів мудрості, які, спираючись на шаманські та містеріальні практики, розвивали психотехнічні методи досягнення внутрішнього звільнення та осягнення Буття. Через постаті Піфагора, Емпедокла та Парменіда простежується, як досвід безпосереднього контакту зі священним поступово перетворювався на дискурсивне й концептуальне осмислення, що й породило філософський дискурс як такий. Особливу увагу приділено поемі Парменіда «Про природу», яка демонструє трансформацію містичного досвіду у раціональну аргументацію та становлення онтології. У статті підкреслюється, що попри множинність античних доктрин, їх об’єднує спільне переживання – інтуїція Буття як всеохопного Абсолюту. Взаємодія нумінозного досвіду та раціонального мислення створила синергетичну парадигму, у межах якої Абсолют постає водночас як об’єкт внутрішнього осяяння та логічної необхідності. Цей синтез дав античним мислителям можливість подолати екзистенційну тривогу й досягти розуміння єдності та вічності Буття. Водночас, доступ до такого досвіду був привілеєм духовної еліти, що згодом спричинило широкий культурний запит на нові, більш інклюзивні форми релігійного досвіду, який у підсумку втілився у становленні монотеїстичних традицій.
