Abstract
Cet article explore le rôle que peut avoir le corps dans l’apprentissage des mathématiques à travers une perspective ontologique : le matérialisme inclusif, qui conçoit le savoir mathématique comme étant fondamentalement sociomatériel. À partir des enjeux émergeant d’une perspective désincarnée sur les mathématiques, quatre éléments principaux s’articulant dans l’activité mathématique sont dégagés et illustrés grâce à l’analyse du travail de deux élèves explorant la multiplication. En creusant cette idée d’une philosophie incarnée des mathématiques, l’article montre comment le savoir peut se voir non pas uniquement comme produit mental ou discours désincarné, mais comme émergeant d’une dynamique relationnelle entre corps, outils et environnement.
