Abstract
Les jeux vidéo, un médium technologique en constante évolution, dépasse en importance monétaire les industries du cinéma et de la musique (combinées) depuis le début des années 2000. L’intérêt pour ceux-ci quant à leur potentiel en éducation s’est parallèlement développé. La pandémie de COVID-19, marquée par l’isolement au domicile, l’enseignement à distance et la socialisation numérique, s’est aussi traduite en augmentation de la consommation de jeux vidéo. Nous voulons, dans cet article, dresser un portrait de la littérature parue pendant la pandémie sur les jeux vidéo en enseignement de l’histoire selon la méthode EPPI (Evidence for Policy and Practice Information and Co-ordinating). Les constats sont catégorisés en cinq thèmes : les titres des jeux, les catégories de jeux vidéo, les périodes historiques, l’utilisation des jeux vidéo en classe et les effets perçus de leur utilisation. Nous terminons par des pistes de recherche potentielles sur l’utilisation des jeux vidéo en enseignement de l’histoire.
