Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

In this article, the author examines the VAT (or GST) challenges posed by cryptocurrencies and NFTs, focusing on the persistent ambiguity over their legal and economic classification on a global scale. This comparative analysis of the European Union, United Kingdom, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland, Mexico, and Canada shows the diverse methodologies employed by various jurisdictions in regulating crypto-asset transactions, encompassing place-of-supply regulations, platform liability and exclusions. The author also highlights the possibility of double taxation arising from these differences, finalizing with her conclusions with policy ideas that seek to achieve tax neutrality in the digital asset sector.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
