El trabajo analiza la necesaria suficiencia de la declaración de la víctima de violencia de género para fundamentar una sentencia de condena cuando constituye la única prueba incriminatoria. Otorgar el valor de única prueba de cargo a la declaración de la víctima requiere encontrar un equilibrio entre dos elementos fundamentales: el derecho a la presunción de inocencia del presunto autor del delito y la expectativa de justicia de la víctima. A estos efectos, el Tribunal Supremo ha establecido unos parámetros que permiten determinar cuándo la declaración de la víctima puede adquirir el valor de prueba testifical incriminatoria: credibilidad, uniformidad, corroboración y persistencia. Ahora bien, las circunstancias particulares en que se encuentra la víctima de violencia de género obligan a una adaptación de estos requisitos establecidos con carácter general. Su análisis desde la óptica de la perspectiva de género ayuda al juez a valorar la declaración emitida minimizando el riesgo de insuficiencia probatoria.
