Abstract

La restauración de la integridad cutánea en pacientes con heridas crónicas o agudas está directamente influenciada por los agentes de limpieza empleados durante la atención clínica. Objetivo: Este estudio presenta un análisis descriptivo-comparativo de nueve soluciones biocidas comúnmente utilizadas en el entorno hospitalario y domiciliario de Guayaquil, Ecuador. Métodos: A través de la revisión de literatura científica, fichas técnicas y observación clínica contextualizada, se evaluaron sus propiedades fisicoquímicas, mecanismos de acción, espectro antimicrobiano, toxicidad tisular, compatibilidad con piel lesionada y evidencia clínica disponible. Resultados: Los hallazgos evidencian un uso empírico y no protocolizado de biocidas de alta citotoxicidad, así como la coexistencia de productos con amplio respaldo científico. Conclusion: Se propone una categorización clínica basada en riesgo-beneficio para orientar decisiones terapéuticas seguras en el tratamiento avanzado de heridas.
