Resumo O acesso ao ensino superior vem se tornando um relevante meio de reparação humanitária e integração local para pessoas em condição de refúgio. Todavia, com a mudança de cultura, estas se deparam com novos sistemas de ensino, uma nova língua de aprendizagem que se mesclam ao luto das rupturas forçadas pela imigração involuntária e ao contexto educacional nem sempre preparado para o desenvolvimento de uma educação intercultural. Nesse sentido, o presente estudo teve como objetivo investigar os fatores de integração educacional envolvendo estudantes universitários em condição de refúgio. Para tal, foi realizada revisão integrativa de literatura com estudos nacionais e internacionais em 16 países dos 5 continentes. Os resultados apontaram uma diversidade de fatores individuais, sociais, institucionais, culturais e políticos que impactam negativamente na integração educacional. Porém, também identificou-se um conjunto de fatores potencializadores da integração em conjunto com boas práticas que possibilitam mitigar os fatores limitantes. Por fim, a pesquisa aponta a necessidade imperiosa do desenvolvimento das ações e programas de acompanhamento institucional após o ingresso, assim como lacunas de estudos específicos sobre evasão e formação envolvendo áreas do conhecimento e cursos.
