Abstract
Organized by Faculty of Engineering - University of Porto in partnership with LEPABE, Dyenamo and Pixel Voltaic. The SPTech 2021 online conference gathered leading solar energy researchers from around the world. The 4 days event brought together experienced scientists and talented researchers to discuss the current status of: Solar Fuels and Storage Technologies : Solar energy conversion and storage systems; Photoelectrochemical cells for water splitting; Photoelectrochemical CO 2 reduction; Solar redox flow cells; Novel photoabsorbers and electrocatalysts; Fundamental studies and advanced characterization; Devices and system demonstration: sustainability and scalability. Dye-Sensitized Solar Cells: Fundamentals and current developments; Materials, substrates, dyes, co-adsorbents, charge transport layers, electrolytes and additives; Simulation, modelling, design and testing; Flexible, transparent, photochromic, solid, and quasi solid-state devices; Integrated systems; DSSCs for low power applications; Market targeting developments. Perovskite Solar Cells: New materials for highly efficient cells; Single and multi-junction; Pb-free absorber; Environmental impact and cost analysis; Stability and encapsulation; Fundamental studies and advanced characterization; Machine learning, modelling and simulation studies; Large area, module and industrialization. The first edition of International Conference on Solar Power Technologies (SPTech 2021) was a virtual event hosted by University of Porto. The conference was entirely organized by a team of experienced scientists and PhD students affiliated to Laboratory for Process Engineering, Environment, Biotechnology and Energy (LEPABE). The website of the conference was designed by the organizing team to form a new generation user friendly online conferences with great features for the attendees. We are proud to introduce the ePoster game for the first time at SPTech 2021 event. The game was built with a map, which is a combination of the main building of the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto alongside beach to transmit the feeling of a virtual visit to the venue. Our aim was not only to ensure the scientific quality of the event but also the cultural side of the venue. Therefore, the game included various information and pictures of the Portuguese culture. We have invited speakers from around the world to deliver high-quality talks on the status of the research. The invited speakers were carefully selected to balance experienced scientists in their research field and talented young researchers. One of the main values of the SPTech conference is to give priority to younger researchers to get to the spotlight. Over 890 registrations were made at the website of the event to join the first edition of the SPTech conference. More than 60 nationalities have tuned in for SPTech 2021 event The SPTech 2021 conference was a free event for all attendees. The expenses of the conference were provided by the organizers and sponsors of the event. We would like to acknowledge the financial support from the Department of Chemical Engineering (DEQ) – University of Porto and Laboratory for Process Engineering (LEPABE). We are grateful to our platinum sponsors Dourogás Renovável and EFACEC for their assistance. Our warmest thanks to our gold sponsors G+Lyte, AdEPorto and FOMTechnologies for their sponsorship. Finally, we would like to acknowledge journals of Energies and F1000Research for sponsoring the scientific awards for best poster and oral presentations. What SPTech offered to the attendees… Opening talk by Prof. Michael Grätzel (École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne -EPFL) on “Mesoscopic photosystems for the generation of electricity and fuels from sunlight”; 7 sessions on recent developments on topics of photoelectrochemical water splitting, solar redox flow cells, solar-driven carbon dioxide reduction, dye-sensitized solar cells and perovskite solar cells; Inspiring keynote talks by Song Jin (University of Wisconsin-Madison), Joel W. Ager (UC Berkeley), Gerrit Boschloo (Uppsala University), Elizabeth Gibson (Newcastle University), Marina Freitag (Newcastle University), Shuzi Hayase (University of Electro-Communications, Tokyo), Monica Lira-Cantu (Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology - ICN2) and Stefaan De Wolf (King Abdullah University of Science and Technology); Panel discussion moderated by Roel van de Krol (Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin) on “Energy storage and fuels” with Nuno Moreira (Dourogás), Hugo Campelo (EFACEC), Stephan Herbst (Toyota Motor Europe) and Helmut Ehrenberg (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology); Panel discussion moderated by Emiliano Bellini (PV magazine) on “Near and distant future of Perovskite Solar Cells” with Maria Laura Parisi (University of Siena), Chris Case (Oxford PV), Olle Lundberg (Evolar AB), and Pedro Sousa (EFACEC); Lots of chances for networking and discussions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- International Conference on Solar Power Technologies (SPTech) Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto Rua Dr. Roberto Frias, s/n 4200-465 Porto, Portugal www.solar-power-tech.com

Full frame machine prediction
Teacher imitationNot calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)
The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.
Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
score_only:v0-immature-baseline · verbatim from the scoring run: score_only means the number may rank works, and no category label ships from itClassification
machine, unvalidatedMachine predicted; a candidate call from one source (direct Gemma or distilled Codex), not a consensus.
