Abstract
About Maud’s Will For Canada 150, the Lucy Maud Montgomery Society of Ontario commissioned me to write one of my “song portraits” to honour L.M. Montgomery for their “Spirit of Canada" Conference. In response, I created a song cycle including this spoken word poem. I wrote “Maud’s Will” because I couldn’t help it. To me, Maud has so many personal dimensions and voices that my one piece, “L.M. Montgomery: A Song Portrait” was not nearly enough to express my connection to her.
