Abstract
The wider picture concerning climate change and security has become a true priority for Canada in recent years. Its recent defense policy update, issued earlier in 2024, identified right at the outset, three cross-cutting risks per Canadian national interest. The article was delivered in a speech at Advanced Research Workshop “Climate and Security Action: The Role of Civil-Military Cooperation”, 16–18 July 2024 in Sofia.
