Abstract
Zusammenfassung Die Pastorenausbildung in der Church of England ist kürzer und flexibler als in der EKD. Sie ermöglicht auch Spätberufenen den Einstieg ins Pfarramt und bewirkt eine vielfältigere Pfarrerschaft. Die Ausbildung ist eher praxisnah als akademisch und erfolgt meist an kirchlichen Einrichtungen mit unterschiedlichen theologischen Ausrichtungen. Die Ausbildung endet mit der Ordination und einer anschließenden praktischen Phase („curacy“). Zentrale Kriterien der Kandidatenauswahl sind unter anderem „Berufung“, „Liebe zum Menschen“, „Weisheit“ und „Vertrauenswürdigkeit“.
