Cette étude examine le « sistèm pratik » (SP), une méta-institution informelle développée par les Madan Sara (MS) en Haïti pour structurer l’économie informelle locale et transnationale. Fondée sur une enquête qualitative multisituée de 14 mois auprès de 28 participant·es, elle identifie quatre dimensions institutionnelles : financières (« sòl »), sécuritaires (gouvernance par les pair.es), judiciaires (tribunaux populaires) et commerciales (réseaux d’approvisionnement). L’approche néo-institutionnaliste révèle un système fondé sur la confiance, la solidarité et la réciprocité, opérant au-delà des frontières nationales, notamment dans les corridors Haïti–République dominicaine–Mexique. Le SP compense les déficits des institutions formelles et génère des dynamiques d’adaptation et d’innovation endogènes. Il constitue ainsi une forme de résistance institutionnelle, où les actrices de l’économie informelle transforment un espace marginalisé en levier de développement alternatif.
