Abstract
Coaches today work in unpredictable and emotionally complex contexts that demand both personal capacity and professional capability. While continuous development is recognised as intrinsic to effective coaching, there is growing recognition that traditional Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is no longer sufficient. In this article, we join the voices advocating a reframing of coach development as Continuing Personal and Professional Development (CPPD) and introduce a conceptually grounded, practice-oriented perspective integrating professional and personal growth. Drawing on our research and experience, we propose that reflexive learning, self-awareness, and psychological integration are crucial for developing the capacity required for sustainable, high-quality coaching.
