Abstract
The following is an article written by Michael Slater QC and originally published in The Verdict Magazine in 2012. It has been updated as of December 2014, and the following article in its entirety has been authorized for reprint here by Mr. Slater. Michael Slater QC is the founding partner of Slater Vecchio. The majority of his practice is confined to traumatic brain injury (TBI) and spinal cord injury cases. He has authored many articles and is a frequent presenter at Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia (TLABC) seminars. He has chaired a number of TLABC seminars on traumatic brain injury.
