Abstract
L’objectif de cet article est de présenter notre caractérisation opératoire de la pensée fonctionnelle qui permet de rendre compte de la richesse et de la complexité de son déploiement dans l’activité. En nous appuyant sur la théorie de l’objectivation (Radford, 2011, 2021a) et sur des éléments d’un cadre conceptuel de la pensée fonctionnelle, nous proposons une caractérisation de cette dernière qui s’appuie sur ses principales manières d’agir et de réfléchir en activité et les rapports dialectiques qui les unissent. Nous illustrons ensuite les résultats qui émergent de sa première mise à l’épreuve empirique dans notre recherche doctorale (Auteure, 2024) et qui révèlent non seulement de nouvelles subtilités de la pensée fonctionnelle, mais aussi la richesse de traiter la pensée qui se déploie en activité comme une totalité dynamique.
