Abstract
À travers les activités immersives qu’il organise, l’animateur nature cherche à proposer à son public de nouveaux regards et considérations sur les êtres vivants qui nous entourent et parmi eux, les animaux. Figures sensibles et discrètes d’une nature sauvage, foisonnante et fragile, les animaux sont omniprésents dans les activités proposées par les professionnels de l’animation nature. Mais à ce titre, font-ils l’objet d’intentions et de pratiques pédagogiques particulières ? Si les animateurs proposent de revisiter nos relations à la nature, qu’en est-il spécifiquement de nos relations à l’animal sauvage, à l’heure où celui-ci voit sa place dans nos sociétés intensément requestionnée, notamment d’un point de vue philosophique ? En interrogeant les représentations et pratiques d’animateurs nature professionnels, cet article tente d’identifier en quoi l’éducation à l’environnement pourrait stimuler le développement d’une pédagogie critique concernant notre rapport à l’ensemble du monde vivant.
