Abstract

The state of health of a battery is influenced by the decrease in the total charge capacity of the battery. Here, we present results obtained through the approximation made by three least squares linear regression methods found in the literature for estimating total charge capacity. The validation of the results will be conducted according to results obtained in the database provided by McMaster University in Ontario, Canada, where tests were conducted under controlled conditions. The analysis of the results compared to those obtained in the laboratory shows that the methods are valid since the acceptable error limit for electrical models is 5%, and the adopted criterion managed to converge the results to this, requiring further future analyses to assess the parameters' sensitivity to temperature.
