Abstract
Waka Beach Tourism is managed by the Tourism Office in collaboration with the Basanohi tourism awareness group. There are findings that the lack of socialization and control function of the institution in the waka beach tourism area development program in Fatkauyon Village and the benefits are less felt by the surrounding community and the low quality of local human resources (limited reliable human resources in tourism development) in addition to the lack of institutional roles as facilitators in cooperation and attention from institutions so that there is a lack of maintenance of existing infrastructure, as well as a lack of attention or cooperation with stakeholders. The number of respondents in this study was 35 respondents consisting of 10 people from tourists, 15 people from the Fatkauyon village community and 5 people from government elements both from the tourism office and the village government. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach and SWOT Analysis, to examine the impact of institutional roles on the development of tourism areas and strategies that institutions must carry out to improve the development of the Waka Beach Tourism Area. The following stakeholders involved in the development of Waka Beach Tourism in Fatkauyon Village, East Sulabesi District, Sula Islands Regency are classified into 5 elements which are included in the Sula Islands Regency Tourism Office, Fatkauyon Village Government, Public Works and Spatial Planning Office, Sula Islands Regency Bappeda, Basanohi Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis). (Diversification Strategy) strategies that can be used Based on the results of SWOT calculations to support the development of Waka Beach Tourism in Fatkauyon Village, East Sulabesi District, Sula Islands Regency. ABSTRAKWisata Pantai Waka dikelola oleh Dinas Pariwisata yang bekerja sama dengan kelompok sadar wisata Basanohi terdapat temuan bahwa kurangnya sosialisasi dan fungsi kontrol dari kelembagaan pada program pengembangan kawasan wisata pantai waka di Desa fatkauyon dan kurang dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat sekitar dan rendahnya kualitas sumber daya manusia lokal (keterbatasan sumber daya manusia yang handal dalam pengembangan pariwisata) selain itu kurangnya peran kelembagaan sebagai fasilitator dalam kerja sama dan perhatian dari kelembagaan sehingga terdapat kurangnya perawatan terhadap infrastruktur yang telah tersedia, serta kurangnya perhatian atau kerja sama dengan para stakeholders. Jumlah responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 35 responden yang terdiri dari 10 orang dari wisatawan, 5 orang dari kelompok sadar wisata, 15 orang dari unsur masyarakat desa fatkauyon dan 5 orang dari unsur pemerintah baik dari dinas parawisata dan pemerintah desa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dan Analisis SWOT, untuk mengkaji dampak peran kelembagaan terhadap pengembangan kawasan wisata dan strategi yang harus dilakukan kelembagaan untuk meningkatkan pengembangan Kawasan Wisata Pantai Waka. Berikut stakeholder yang terlibat dalam pengembangan Wisata Pantai Waka Desa Fatkauyon Kecamatan Sulabesi Timur Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula diklasifikasikan menjadi 5 elemen yang tergabung diantaranya Dinas pariwisata Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, Pemerintah Desa Fatkauyon, Dinas pekerjaaan umum dan penataan ruang, Bappeda Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula, Kelompok sadar wisata (pokdarwis) basanohi. (Disversifikasi Strategi) strategi yang dapat digunakan Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan SWOT agar mendukung pengembangan Wisata Pantai Waka di Desa fatkauyon Kecamatan Sulabesi Timur Kabupaten Kepulauan Sula.
