Abstract
In January 2014, a salvage excavation was conducted atthe corner of 2Sha'are Nicanor Street and Yefet Street in the Ajami quarter of Yafo (Permit No. A-7000; map ref. 176733-66/661734-52), prior to construction of a nursery school. The excavation, undertaken on behalf of the Israel Antiquities Authority and financed by the Tel Aviv-Yafo municipality, was directed by E. Jakoel and E. Haddad, with the assistance of A. Gorzalczany (scientific guidance), L. Rauchberger and Y. Arbel (consultation), Y. Amrani and E. Bachar (administration), A. Dagot and C. Ben Ari (GPS), M. Kahan and R.
