Abstract
Available mathematical model for Circular Microstrip Antennas (CMAs) fails to accurately describe the Mode indices ($\mathrm{n}, \text{m}$) in terms of physical wave distribution; resulting in inconsistent interpretation of wave distribution. This work gives a new analysis of the standing waves with Bessel function coefficients giving a straightforward interpretation of modes in terms of nodes and antinodes on CMA. Comparisons with the previous works has been shown to substantiate the presented theory.
