In this paper, a dual-beam leaky-wave antenna with high gain and desired polarization configuration is presented. The main aim of this paper is to realize two polarizations with two beams in different directions. In order to do so, Fourier transform method is used to accurately predict the aperture field distribution from desired profile of the far-field radiation pattern. Metallic rectangular patches printed on a dielectric is used to realize the final design. As an example, a dual-beam antenna with horizontal and vertical polarizations is designed. The antenna gain parameter for the first and second beams are 29 and 25.6 dBi respectively, which can be controlled separately. The results of the designed antenna indicates that there is a good agreement between Fourier transform method and the full-wave simulations.
