Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Interacting objects (IOs) like cars and pedestrians can affect millimeter-wave (mm-wave) channel characteristics, potentially necessitating beam switching. In this paper, the impact of non-stationary IOs on urban propagation channels at 28 GHz is investigated. Results show limited variations in channel characteristics for the given measurement scenario. The largest variations in omnidirectional path loss are up to <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$\mathbf{1 2 ~ d B}$</tex> and due to (partial) obstructions of the direct path by trucks. Results show that beam switching generally could not improve the directional path gain, and switching gains were very limited in the few cases where a better beam pair existed.

Fetched live from OpenAlex and de-inverted. Abstracts are not stored in this database: the inverted indexes are 8.6 GB of the frame’s 9.3 GB of text, and the host has 13 GB free.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
