The healthcare industry, characterized by high operational complexity and intense regulatory exploration, faces continuous pressure to increase both quality of care and financial sustainability. This manuscript explores the major and direct impact of effective Operations Management (OM) strategies on the profitability of health and hospital systems. Rather than viewing OM merely as cost-cutting, we show how the systematic optimization of processes, patient flow, capacity utilization, and supply chain logistics directly converts to cost reduction, revenue maximization, and in long run, improved financial health. Adopting principles like Lean and thorough capacity planning is shown to be vital for navigating the modern healthcare landscape.
