Abstract
Le monde de la start-up s’étend nouvellement dans le secteur coopératif. Ce phénomène émergent est encore largement ignoré aujourd’hui dans la littérature scientifique. Notre recherche exploratoire vise à comprendre l’influence du parcours de vie des entrepreneurs sur leur choix du modèle coopératif. Nous avons mobilisé pour cela la méthode biographique et interrogé huit entrepreneurs dirigeants et fondateurs de start-up coopératives. Nos résultats montrent, en premier lieu, que le contexte familial, la mobilité et l’expérience atypique ont formé un regard dissident vis-à-vis du monde socioéconomique. En second lieu, ils montrent que ce regard dissident s’incarne dans une vision stratégique fondée sur la tribu et la longue vue. Cette recherche propose à la communauté scientifique et aux acteurs professionnels engagés dans le monde de la start-up un éclairage sur les raisons du choix du modèle de la start-up coopérative ; un thème qui, à notre connaissance, est peu étudié dans la littérature scientifique.
