Abstract
Introduction. Among stomatologists and maxillofacial surgeons of Russia there are many bright personalities, who besides their contribution to the development of domestic dentistry have made many new contributions to other branches of national economy. Among them is Professor Anatoly Alexandrovich Nesmeyanov. The aim of the study is to tell about his merits in the field of dentistry, public health and sports, as well as social activity on the eve of the 80th anniversary of A.A. Nesmeyanov. Material and Methods. On the basis of long-term joint work, as well as by analyzing previously published scientific works in the field of stomatology and other areas of natural science the opinion about professional and public activity of Professor A.A. Nesmeyanov was formed. Results. The paper presents information about the life path, scientific activity in the field of dentistry, other fields of natural science and social work of A.A. Nesmeyanov. It is emphasized that his main brainchild (the invention of three brothers Nesmeyanov) was an electric analgesic stomatological automatic INAAN-3, which was mass-produced by the USSR industry, and the device for electroodontoanalgesia was patented by the leading economically developed countries of the world: the USA, Canada, Great Britain, France, Switzerland. The results of activity of LLC “Nordmed”, created with the participation of A.A. Nesmeyanov, in terms of development of modern dental implantology, which are unique, especially in the field of educational work and training of medical personnel, are presented. The inventive and rationalization initiatives of A.A. Nesmeyanov are noted, as well as his contribution to the preservation of the health of the nation, as he proposed and developed all the necessary provisions and documentation for the introduction of a new sport created by him - Peterbasket (radial basketball), which is one of the young sports disciplines. Conclusion. The life path of Prof. A.A. Nesmeyanov is the path of a creative person and specialist. We wish A.A. Nesmeyanov to meet his anniversary in full bloom of strength and energy.
