Abstract

The detection of airborne pathogens constitutes a major sanitary concern. Ln addition to the improvement of the various analysis methods, efficient ways of air extraction methods are needed. The present extraction devices need to be adapted to the biological analysis, especially for the detection of nanometric bio-aerosols. A new and innovative extraction device for nanometric airborne particles has been designed. A functional prototype has been made. The physical principles underlying this device have been exposed through the establishment of a complete mode!. This model is meant to constitute the basis of a future numerical simulation. The prototype was also tested through various experiments showing the adequacy of the suggested solution regarding the mentioned application.
